So I’ve wanted to be a professional writer my entire life. My parents have always supported and encouraged me to be myself and do what I love, and for that I’m eternally grateful. However, after high school, when I didn’t enroll in a University, my mom started to encourage the idea of “trade school”. At first, I had no idea what trade was right for me. Firefighter? Radio DJ? Veterinarian? No, No, No. Finally, it occurred to me that I’m ridiculously girly and it might be fun to go to Beauty School. The idea of touching a stranger’s hair really creeps me out, so instead, I enrolled at Bellus Academy to be an Esthetician. I learned how to shape eyebrows, massage, treat all types of skin and do fabulous make-up. Every day at school was like being seven years old, playing barbies with my gal pals. We ran around in white towels, giggling and gossiping, giving each other massages, and ripping off every last unwanted hair on our bodies. I had several clients that came to me exclusively for services and after a few months it was obvious that I was going to be a damn good Esthetician. But then, something changed. Unforeseen events unfolded, causing me to lose my will to meet graduation requirements. Looking back now, I still believe I tried my best- but in the end, I never became an Esthetician; only another beauty school drop-out.
Fortunately, I don’t need a damn license to teach you how to be your own Esthetician!

Personally, I recommend Gigi’s creme wax over their hard honey wax. The results are cleaner and much less painful. Thank You for reading The Beauty School Dropout: How to be your own Esthetician. Come back next month to learn my personal beauty secrets (i have flawless skin for a reason).
