A writer from the Huffington Post compared Jamaican/Grecian/British singing sensation Lianne La Havas to a young Fiona Apple. Despite my appreciation for Ms. Apple, I truly feel Lianne La Havas’ lyrics and voice pleasures my ears, heart and imagination much more than the songs “Criminal” and “Shadowboxer”. Lianne has said on several interviews that she is strongly influenced by Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu. I’d even like to compare her to another soulful black brit Corrine Bailey Rae. Whatever the similarities, I will confess I’ve converted to Lianne La Havas on Pandora Radio and I’d officially like to share her with the rest of you who have yet to make the discovery. Lianne’s got enough soul to sing the entire world to into a sweet slumber.
